Edgelock — Reusable Flower Stencil Kit (24 Stencils)
You stand in front of the plain hallway dresser with the paint open and put it back down, because you can already picture the smear. Tape it down, dab it on, lift it off — and the flowers sit there looking like you've been doing this for years.
The stencils are stiff PET, so they lie flat instead of curling away from the surface.
Tape them down, dab with an almost-dry brush, and the paint has nowhere to creep.

The paint pot goes back in the cupboard
The brown dresser in the hallway, the one you walk past four times a day.
You've had the paint for a while now.
Every time you get as far as opening it, you picture the same thing: a flimsy stencil lifting at one corner, paint creeping under, a blurred smudge on a piece you actually own.
It's that a mistake here doesn't wash off.

Stiff plastic that won't curl up
Thin stencils bow away from the surface the moment your brush touches them.
That gap is where the bleed happens — not from too much paint, but from a stencil that isn't lying flat.
These are cut from stiff PET at 7.5x15cm.
They sit down on the surface and stay there, across laminate, MDF and painted wood.
Tape the edges, dab with a nearly dry brush, and the paint has nowhere to travel sideways.
The line stays where the cut is.

Your sister asks where you bought it
You lift the first stencil off slowly, half expecting the worst.
The edge is sharp.
The petals stop exactly where they're meant to.
And then you do the next one, because the hard part turned out not to be hard.
With 24 separate motifs you're not stuck with one repeated shape — run a border along the drawer fronts, tuck a small one into the corners, build a whole feature panel up a wall.
The dresser you nearly replaced now looks like something you chose on purpose.

How it works
The whole thing is three moves, and the second one is where the clean edge comes from.

Press the stencil down and tape the edges so nothing can lift. On a curved or beaded surface, tape the short sides first and work the middle down.

Dip the brush, then wipe it on paper until it leaves barely a mark. A dry brush can't push paint sideways under the edge — a wet one always will.

Tap straight down instead of stroking across, then peel the stencil off while the paint is still wet. Wash it in the sink and it's ready for the next one.

- The dry-brush load test: wipe the brush on paper until it leaves almost nothing, then start. This is the one step that stops bleed before it happens.
- Where to tape a 7.5x15cm stencil on a curved or beaded surface so the edge stays flat on laminate, MDF and painted wood.
- The two-coat wait: how long to leave the first pass before the second, so the line stays crisp instead of thickening.

Questions, answered
Bleed comes from two things: a stencil that lifts, and a brush that's too wet.
Tape the stencil flat and wipe the brush on paper until it leaves almost nothing, then dab straight down rather than stroking across.
Start on a drawer back or an inside edge if you want a low-stakes first go.
laminate, MDF, painted wood?
— Yes to all three, as long as the surface is clean and dry.
On glossy laminate, give it a light wipe first so the tape grips and the stencil sits flush.
Curved or beaded surfaces work too — tape the short sides first, then press the middle down.
They're cut from stiff PET rather than thin film, which is what stops them curling and what lets them survive washing.
Rinse them in the sink while the paint is still wet, dry them flat, and they're ready for the next project.
It's 24 separate floral motifs at 7.5x15cm each, designed to combine rather than repeat — a border along drawer fronts, small accents in corners, or several built together into a feature panel.
Most people use a handful per project and still have the rest untouched.
