Customer Service Representative
You will answer customers by email and chat — where an order is, how a piece actually works, and putting things right when it does not.
You will follow proven workflows but use your own judgement, and work with our operations team to keep fulfilment and follow-up running smoothly.
Our customer bought something small to make one job easier. She notices when she is spoken to like an adult.

Warmth, clarity, and care with detail
Two or more years in eCommerce customer service. Excellent written English, and the ability to sound warm and clear in a message rather than scripted.
A problem-solving mindset, strong attention to detail, a reliable internet connection, and availability to respond promptly during your agreed hours.
The things that actually make a job good
Pay that reflects the work
Reviewed openly, not haggled. We'd rather agree something fair once than renegotiate it every quarter.
A retirement fund
We contribute to your long-term peace of mind, not just this month's invoice.
Remote and flexible
Set your own hours within your agreed cover, and work from wherever you are.
Real training and support
Clear processes, properly documented, so you are set up to succeed rather than left to guess.
Straight communication
Clear feedback and friendly collaboration. No ghosting, no confusion.
Room to grow with us
We are early. What you build now is what the job looks like for whoever comes after you.
Tell us about yourself
Send us a short message introducing yourself and why you'd be a great fit, plus a brief overview of your work history — especially any customer service or eCommerce experience.
Include the word lantern somewhere in your message, so we know you read the full brief.
Write to support@hartandlane.com. We read every one.
We can't wait to meet you.
