Crimpkin — Halloween Hand Pie Mold Set (8 Mold Designs to Choose From)
Two days before the party you look at your saved pins, then at your own dough, and drive to the store again. Fold the mold shut and the edges come out evenly crimped, so the tray on the table looks like you picked it up somewhere.
Halloween stock is limited — 94% of batch is already gone.
94% SOLD OUT
The hinge closes slowly and cuts both layers at once instead of dragging across them.
Chilled dough holds the shape; you are folding, not pushing.
The top layer is stamped under even pressure across the whole shape, so the cut lines hold their depth in the oven instead of puffing flat.

The tray you bring is the one nobody asks about
You saved the pin in September.
Pumpkin hand pies, crimped edges, the kind of tray people take photos of.
Then the party is two days out, you look at your own dough on the counter, and you already know how it goes.
You cut a circle, you press a fork around the rim, and half of them open in the oven anyway.
So you drive to the store and spend twenty dollars on cookies in a plastic clamshell.
And there is the small, quiet part of it nobody says out loud: you set your tray down next to someone else's, and yours is the one people walk past.
Because it looks bought, and everyone can tell.
The mold seals the edges for you
Open it, lay the bottom layer of dough across it, spoon the filling in, lay the top layer over.
Then fold it shut.
In that one fold the hinge cuts both layers, presses the design into the top, and crimps the whole border closed at the same pressure the whole way round.
No fork, no pinching, no thin spot where it splits.
That is the part that decides whether the tray looks homemade or looks bought — and your hands are not doing it.
The hinge is.
Say you made them and watch her face change
Eight molds means eight shapes, so the tray is not eight copies of the same pumpkin.
You set it on the table and somebody leans in.
Then somebody asks where you picked them up.
You get to say you made them, in your kitchen, on a Tuesday afternoon.
That is the whole reason you saved the pin in the first place.
The pan goes back in the cupboard.
Next October you get it out again.

How it works
Three moves, and the mold does the part you were worried about.
1Lay the dough
Open the mold flat and drape your rolled dough across the whole face. No measuring, no cutting to size first — the shape gets cut later.
2Spoon the filling
Drop the filling into the well in the middle. Keep it inside the raised rim and the seal has clean dough to bite into.
3Fold it shut
Close it and press. The blade cuts the shape, the top gets stamped, and the border crimps closed in that single motion. Open it, lift the pie out, next one.

Meredith L.Verified“Ordered another one so I could keep one at my mom's house. We bake together on weekends and hauling them back and forth was getting old. Same quality on the second set.”Jamal W.Verified“Got these for my wife after she kept talking about it. She's used them four or five times already and keeps saying the edges are what sells it. I ate six of them so I'm not complaining.”Holly J.Verified“Bought a second set for my mother after she used mine at Thanksgiving. She has arthritis in her hands and crimping by hand was painful for her, this is just a fold so she can still do it.”

Held up to a very enthusiastic 5 year oldMy daughter slammed it shut probably forty times and it's fine. No cracks. She got really into it.

Washes fastEight molds cleaned in the sink in about four minutes. I was dreading that part.
Nina C.Verified11/12/2026
Brought them to the officeBrought a tray into work and they were gone in twenty minutes. Two people asked for the bakery name. Kinda enjoyed that.
Kate N.Verified11/11/2026
My kids did most of itDid this on a Sunday with my two and honestly they did most of the folding. My youngest is 6 and she managed it. Every single one sealed which has never happened when we tried the fork method. No screens for three hours, that alone was worth it.

Good productDoes what it says. Edges seal, designs come out clean.

Didn't think I'd use it past OctoberDidn't think I'd use it past October but I've made chicken pot pie versions twice since. My husband asks for them now. So much for the drawer.

Was worried about filling leakingWas worried about filling leaking out and burning onto the sheet because that's happened to me with turnovers. Kept it in the well like it says and nothing leaked. The border has clean dough on both sides so it actually binds.
Frank S.Verified11/06/2026
Retired and looking for things to doI retired last year and I've been trying to actually cook instead of just reheating. These are easy enough that I got them right on attempt one, which I cannot say for most things I've tried in the kitchen. Grandkids came over and we did a batch together. They thought it was a toy.
Priya S.Verified11/05/2026
Fine, does the jobWorks well, no issues. Four stars because it's a kitchen tool and I'm not going to give five stars to a kitchen tool. Pies came out good.
Gail M.Verified11/04/2026
Sturdier than I expectedI thought this would be flimsy plastic that cracks the first time you press hard on cold dough. Pressed as hard as I could and nothing. No white stress marks on the hinge either, which is usually where cheap stuff gives out first.
Michelle E.Verified11/03/2026
Arrived faster than expectedShowed up two days after ordering which I did not expect this time of year. Used them that weekend.

Color is a bit different than the photosThe molds are a slightly different shade than they looked online, more of a flat orange than the bright one in the pictures. Doesn't matter at all for how they work, just noting it. Everything else is exactly as described and the pies come out beautiful.
Guadalupe A.Verified10/31/2026
The seal is the whole thingI've had cookie cutters before and this is not that. The cutter just gives you a circle and then you're on your own. This presses the design and crimps the border in the same motion. That's the part I could never do.
Enrique K.Verified10/30/2026
Made these for the neighborhood thingWhole street does a thing on Halloween and I usually bring chips. Brought a tray of these instead. Got asked twice where they came from. Felt good honestly.
Rashida H.Verified10/29/2026
The filling guide is actually usefulAlmost skipped the free guide thinking it'd be filler. It's not. The measurements for how much filling goes in before the seal gives is the one thing I would have gotten wrong. First two I overfilled and they leaked, then I read it and the rest were perfect.
Terri V.Verified10/27/2026
I was worried about my dough tearing but...I was worried about my dough tearing because mine always does. It didn't. You lay it flat and close the thing, you're not stretching anything over a edge. Chilled it first like a lot of people said and it cut clean every time.
Sofía R.Verified10/26/2026
Different shapes make the trayThe variety is what does it. If they were all the same shape it would look like a factory. Eight different ones on a tray looks intentional.
Ximena N.Verified10/25/2026
My abuela would have loved theseMy abuela made empanadas by hand her whole life and crimped every one with her fingers. I never learned. This gets me close enough that I don't feel like a fraud making them for my kids. Used a guava filling instead of the apple one and it held fine.
Leah F.Verified10/24/2026
I've been on my feet all day and this was easyI work retail and by the time I get home I don't have the energy for a project. Did a tray of twelve in maybe forty minutes including cleanup. That's about the limit of what I'll do on a weeknight and it fit.
Aiyana S.Verified10/23/2026
I am not a bakerI want that on record. I am not a baker. I made 14 of these and my sister in law who bakes constantly asked what recipe I used. The mold does the part I can't do.
Cindy R.Verified10/21/2026
I usually don't buy things like thisI usually don't buy things like this, I have a cabinet full of gadgets I used once. But my daughter sent me the video and I caved. It's been out on the counter for three weeks now. Made them for her school thing and for book club. The eight shapes matter more than I thought, a tray of all pumpkins would look boring.
Consuelo D.Verified10/20/2026
First time my tray got photographedEvery year I bring something and every year it sits next to the good stuff looking obviously store bought. This year someone took a picture of my tray before anyone touched it. I've been thinking about that for a week.
Danielle C.Verified10/19/2026
Three people asked which bakeryBrought a tray to my sister in law's thing and three separate people asked where I picked them up. I said my kitchen. One of them didn't believe me until I showed her the molds. The edges are what does it, they're all the same tightness the whole way around instead of that wobbly fork look.
Ebony T.Verified10/18/2026
Instructions in the box would helpFour stars only because nothing came in the box explaining the chilled dough thing. My first tray was a bit soft looking because my dough was too warm. Once I figured it out the rest were great. Just would have been nice to know upfront.
DeShawn M.Verified10/17/2026
Kid project that actually workedDid this with my 8 year old. Set everything up, showed him once, and he did the rest. Clean tray, nothing burst.
Tyrone B.Verified10/16/2026
I assumed this was another gimmickI assumed this was another gimmick that would sit in a drawer. My wife ordered it anyway. It's been used at least six times since and we've moved on to savory ones. I was wrong, happy to say it.
Marcus L.Verified10/14/2026
Store bought dough works fineI was worried I'd need to make dough from scratch which I was not going to do. Used the refrigerated rolls from the grocery store, rolled it a bit thinner like it says, worked great. Seal held on all of them.
Beth R.Verified10/13/2026
Works, but smaller than I picturedThey do work and the edges seal well, no argument there. But 12cm ends up being more of a two bite thing than a real dessert, and I'd pictured something you'd put on a plate with a fork. My fault for not reading the measurement more carefully. Fine for a party tray, not fine if you wanted a proper individual pie.
CrimpkinThanks for the honest note on the size — that's a fair point and you're right that 12cm is built for a hand pie rather than a plated dessert. We list the measurement on the page but we'll look at making it clearer. Glad the seal is holding for you.
Erin K.Verified10/12/2026
Wish it came in more sizesReally happy with it. My only thing is I'd have liked a slightly bigger mold option for when I want these to be more of a real dessert and not a handheld. 12cm is fine, it reads as a proper little pie, just wanted the option.
Yuki T.Verified10/11/2026
Design stays sharp after bakingMy worry was the design would puff out and blur in the oven like it does when I try to score pastry by hand. It didn't. The pressure is even across the whole shape so the lines hold their depth. You can still see the face on all of them.
Josephine P.Verified10/09/2026
I stopped buying the clamshell cookiesThree times every October I'd spend twenty bucks on those plastic tubs of decorated cookies from the grocery store and feel a little bad about it every time. This year I didn't buy a single one. The math on that alone paid for the set in one season.
Brianna N.Verified10/08/2026
Good, shipping was a little slowProduct is great, no complaints there. Shipping took about a week longer than I expected but it was during the October rush so I get it. The molds themselves are solid and the designs came out sharp on the first tray.
Hal P.Verified10/07/2026
Not what I was afterBought this thinking I could use it for the frozen pastry sheets I already had in the freezer. Those are thicker than what this wants and it wouldn't close properly for me. Also the shapes are all Halloween ones and I wanted something plainer for year round. Not saying it's broken, just didn't line up with what I needed it for.
CrimpkinThank you for taking the time to write this. Thicker frozen sheets do need to be rolled down before the hinge can close fully, and that isn't obvious from the listing — that's on us. Please reach out to our support team and we'll be happy to help sort this out for you either way.
Jada S.Verified10/06/2026
No gift boxOrdered one for myself and one for my sister's birthday and the packaging is pretty basic, just the plain box. Had to wrap it myself. The product is excellent though and she's used it more than I have.
Wendy O.Verified09/30/2026
Good price for eightEight molds for this price seemed fair compared to what I was seeing elsewhere for three or four. Some sites had two molds for almost the same money.
Meredith L.Verified09/24/2026
Bought a second setOrdered another one so I could keep one at my mom's house. We bake together on weekends and hauling them back and forth was getting old. Same quality on the second set.
Holly J.Verified09/18/2026
Ordered another for my momBought a second set for my mother after she used mine at Thanksgiving. She has arthritis in her hands and crimping by hand was painful for her, this is just a fold so she can still do it.
Questions, answered
The mold does the shaping, not your fingers.
You lay the dough flat and fold — nothing gets stretched or dragged, which is where tearing usually starts.
Chill the dough for twenty minutes first and it holds the cut line cleanly.
Yes.
Roll it slightly thinner than it comes in the box so the hinge can close fully and the border compresses properly.
Homemade shortcrust, puff pastry and store dough all seal the same way.
Leaks come from overfilling or from runny filling, not from the seal.
Keep the filling inside the raised well so the border has clean dough to bind to, and use fillings thick enough to hold a spoon shape.
The free guide gives you nine of them with the measurements.
The eight shapes are seasonal, but hand pies are not.
Customers use the same molds for savoury chicken and mushroom pies through the winter, then bring them back out the following October.
The guide includes three savoury fillings for exactly that reason.
The hinge is built to take firm, repeated pressure — that is the whole mechanism.
Each mold is 12x12cm and washes clean in the sink.
