Rowkeep — Canvas Yarn Bag with Feed-Through Eyelets
Mid-row you tug the yarn and the ball leaps off your lap and under the sofa. Metal eyelets feed only the working strand out, so the row you start is the row you finish.
It holds several full skeins with room to spare — socks, hats, shawls, scarves and multi-ball fingering work all live in it comfortably.
It is not a blanket bag, and we would rather tell you that now than have you find out.
The eyelets are smooth-rimmed metal with no cut edge, so the strand slides through the way it slides over a needle.
Mohair and hand-dyed single-ply feed through without shredding.
Your order is dispatched within 24–48 hours and typically arrives within 5–9 business days.
You'll get a tracking link the moment it ships, so you can follow it door to door.

Three people asked where I got it. One of them ordered it that night on her phone while we were sitting there.

No setup, no figuring anything out. Dropped the skein in, pulled the end through the hole, closed it. Knit for two hours.
Tamika S. · 5/5
I use a lot of fingering weight and I was nervous about the metal. It feeds out the same way it goes over a needle. No catching.

AS SEEN IN
The row you start is the row you finish
You're mid-row on the couch, you give the working yarn a small tug, and the ball hops off your lap and disappears under the sofa.
It comes back with a knot in it and a coat of dog hair you now have to pick off strand by strand.
So the evening you sat down to enjoy turns into ten minutes of untangling, and the rhythm you'd just found is gone.
That's the part that stings — the thing that's supposed to calm you down is the thing keeping you busy.
The ball can't roll, so it doesn't
The bag closes with the skein sealed inside.
Metal eyelets in the top let only the working strand come out.
Tug all you like — the ball turns in place instead of leaving the bag.
It never touches the floor, so it never picks up lint, hair, or a knot.
The eyelet rims are smooth, so fine yarn feeds through the way it feeds over a needle.
An hour and a half where you just knit
You sit down, pull the strand, and keep going.
No stopping to reach under the sofa.
No rewinding.
No picking hair off a $28 skein.
By the end of the evening you've knit further than you have in weeks, and you weren't thinking about the yarn once.
That's the feeling: not pride, not triumph — just quiet, and the row still going.
And because everything already lives in the bag, the next evening starts the same way.

How it works
Three things happen the moment the bag closes.
1Drop the skein in
Set your full skein inside and pull the loose end up through one of the metal eyelets in the top. Takes about five seconds.
2Close it and knit
With the top shut, the ball is enclosed and the strand runs out through the eyelet. Nothing rolls, because nothing can.
3Needles in the front
Needles, hook, scissors and markers sit in the open front pockets, so you're not digging at the bottom of a tote for them.

Marisol T.Verified“She crocheted constantly and always had yarn everywhere. Wish these existed then. I use mine for crochet and the hooks fit fine in the front pockets, they don't poke through.”Adriana E.Verified“My mother in law borrows mine constantly so I ordered her one. She's 71 and has trouble bending down to pick things up off the floor so honestly this is better for her than for me.”Kate N.Verified“Took it on a four day trip to my sisters. I didn't think I'd care about the pocketsI thought the pockets were filler. Theyre actually the part I use most after the holes. Everything is visible instead of buried in the bottom.
Camila M.Verified08/22/2026
Grab and go is the real selling pointEveryone talks about the holes but for me its that everything lives in the bag permanently. Needles, scissors, markers, the pattern. I pick it up and leave. I never used to take knitting anywhere because packing it up was a whole thing.
Nia W.Verified08/20/2026

Arrived quicker than expectedOrdered Sunday, had it Wednesday. Was not expecting that. Started using it the same evening.
Adriana E.Verified08/15/2026
Two of us in the house use itMy mother in law borrows mine constantly so I ordered her one. She's 71 and has trouble bending down to pick things up off the floor so honestly this is better for her than for me.
Fernanda C.Verified08/13/2026
Didn't think I'd use the eyelets muchI figured I'd just open the bag and pull yarn out like I do with a tote. Nope. I've never once opened it mid project. The strand just keeps coming.
Nora C.Verified08/11/2026
I thought it would be flimsy for the price b...I thought it would be flimsy for the price but the base is stiff and it stays upright even when its half empty. The handles are stitched down the side not just tacked on at the top, which is where my last one ripped.
Meg F.Verified08/09/2026
Front pockets are underratedScissors, markers, tape measure, cable needle. All in the front where I can see them. I used to dig at the bottom of a tote every single time.
Verified Buyer08/08/2026
Does the jobBag holds yarn, yarn comes out the hole, yarn doesn't roll away. Simple.
Tamika S.Verified08/06/2026
Used it the same night it cameNo setup, no figuring anything out. Dropped the skein in, pulled the end through the hole, closed it. Knit for two hours.
Imani W.Verified08/04/2026
Perfect for Sunday church knittingI knit during the sermon, always have. Used to be a whole production getting set up in the pew. Now its one bag and nothing rolls down the aisle.
Priya S.Verified08/02/2026
The dog hair thingTwo labs. I used to spend the first ten minutes of every evening picking hair off my yarn before I could even start a row. Thats over now. The ball never touches the floor so there's nothing to pick off. I didn't buy it for that reason but its the thing I notice the most.
Jasmine P.Verified08/01/2026
I assumed this was just another gimmick bagThere are a hundred yarn bags on the internet and most of them are just tote bags with a knitting picture on them. This one actually has a mechanism. The holes at the top are the entire point and they work.
Josephine P.Verified07/31/2026
Went back for a thirdOne by my chair, one in the car, and I just ordered a third for my sister's birthday. She's been using a plastic grocery bag for years and I cannot watch it anymore.
Aaliyah J.Verified07/30/2026
Good for waiting roomsMy son has PT twice a week and I sit there for 45 min. Used to scroll. Now the bag goes in the back seat and I knit. Everything's already in it so there's no packing up, I just grab it.
Zora N.Verified07/28/2026
kinda changed how much I actually knitNot in a hyped up way. I just knit more because I stopped losing the momentum. Finished a shawl I'd been picking at since spring.
Kendra E.Verified07/25/2026
Bought a second oneFirst one lives by the sofa, second one stays in my car. Two projects going at once and I never have to unpack either one. Should have done this ages ago.
Jill B.Verified07/22/2026
Works. Glad I got it.Does what it says. My yarn stays clean now.
Esperanza R.Verified07/19/2026
Quiet evenings againThis sounds dramatic for a bag but I'll say it anyway. Knitting was supposed to be the thing that calmed me down and instead I was getting up and down all night chasing a ball around the living room. Now I sit down and I stay sat down. My husband noticed before I mentioned it.
Dana K.Verified07/18/2026
Fine, but smaller than I neededIt works exactly as described and I don't want to be unfair about that. The issue is on me, I mostly make blankets and I need something bigger. For the small project I've got going in it right now its good. If I did more socks and hats I'd probably be giving it five stars.
Ashby & ValeThanks for the honest note, and you're right that this one is built for socks, shawls and scarf-size work rather than blankets. We'd rather people know that up front than be disappointed, so we appreciate you saying it plainly.
Catherine A.Verified07/16/2026
My daughter recommended this and she was rightShe has one and kept going on about it at Thanksgiving. I put it off for months because I already had bags. The difference is the yarn doesn't leave the bag, thats it, thats the whole design. Sounds obvious once you say it out loud but nothing else I've owned does it.
Lisa D.Verified07/12/2026
Solved a problem I'd stopped noticingI'd gotten so used to the ball rolling away that I didn't think of it as a problem anymore, it was just what knitting was. Then it stopped happening and I realized how much of my evening it had been taking.
Marguerite D.Verified07/09/2026
Finally stopped fishing around under the couchI've been knitting for close to thirty years and I have used every bag under the sun. Tote bags, an old diaper bag, a plastic bin at one point. The eyelet thing sounded like a gimmick honestly. It isn't. The ball turns inside the bag instead of rolling out and that's really the whole thing. I did a full sock cuff the other night without getting up once, which sounds small but it isn't when you're used to stopping every ten minutes.
Terri V.Verified07/06/2026
Wish it came with a second one at this priceNo complaints about the bag. Its well made, holds what I need, stays standing. I just think for what it costs a two pack should be closer in price. Still using it every night.
Blythe A.Verified07/03/2026
I am on my feet all day at work and the last...I am on my feet all day at work and the last thing I want at night is to be getting up and down off the couch to chase yarn under furniture. This fixed that entirely. Small thing, big difference to my evenings.
Guadalupe A.Verified06/30/2026
I was worried about the metal rings on my ha...I was worried about the metal rings on my hand dyed stuff because I spend too much on yarn to be careless with it. Ran a single ply merino through it for a week and looked at the strand under my reading lamp more times than I want to admit. Its fine. No fuzz, no pilling at the hole.
Gail M.Verified06/27/2026
Solid but no instructionsCame with nothing in the way of a card or anything explaining it. I figured it out in about four seconds so its not really a problem, but for the price I expected a little insert. Bag is good.
Kate N.Verified06/22/2026
Traveled with itTook it on a four day trip to my sisters. Packed the project in it, never unpacked it once the whole time. Knit in the car on the way there too, passenger seat, no chasing anything.
Vicky A.Verified06/16/2026
Half empty and still standingThis was my worry, that a fabric bag would flop over once the skein got small. It doesn't. The bottom is stiff and the sides hold their shape.
Rose G.Verified06/11/2026
Not a blanket bag, know that going inI want to be fair here. This is a sock and shawl and scarf bag. I've got three skeins of worsted in mine right now with room left over but if you're doing a king size afghan out of jumbo yarn you need something else. For everything else its great. I do my big projects out of a basket on the floor anyway.
Tina V.Verified06/09/2026
Not what I picturedI thought there would be a way to carry it over the shoulder and there isn't, its just the two handles. Also I had it sitting on the arm of my recliner and it fell off, so I don't know that I'd call it stable. Probably my setup. My old bag was bigger and I've gone back to that for now.
Ashby & ValeThank you for taking the time to write this. You're right that it's handle-carry only — no shoulder strap — and it's designed to sit on a floor or a cushion rather than a chair arm, so we can see why that didn't work for you. Please reach out to our support team and we'll happily help you sort this out.
Michelle E.Verified06/04/2026
Fits more than I assumed from the photosThe measurements looked small on screen and I almost didn't order. Two full skeins of aran and a partial in there comfortably, plus the needles. It's deeper than it looks in the pictures.
Wendy O.Verified05/30/2026
Good bag, color is lighter than the photoMine came a little more cream than the picture which I don't mind but worth knowing. Everything else is solid. Sits upright, holds plenty, needles stay in the pockets when I move it around.
Beth R.Verified05/18/2026
Took a little longer to arrive than I expectedShipping was slower than I hoped, I think there was a sale going on. The bag itself is good though. Stands up on its own which the last one I had didn't. Only complaint is I wish it came in a darker color, the cream shows everything.
Barb T.Verified05/12/2026
Been using it since springFew months in now. Its held up, no fraying at the handles, the eyelets haven't come loose. I wash the outside with a damp cloth occasionally and it still looks fine.
Deshawn M.Verified04/27/2026
Got this for my wifeShe'd been complaining about yarn rolling off the couch for years so this was an easy gift. She likes it a lot. Says the pockets on the front are the second best part after the holes. Four stars only because the packaging was pretty plain and I was giving it for her birthday, would have been nice to have a box.
Questions, answered
It comfortably holds several full skeins with room to spare, which covers socks, hats, shawls, scarves and multi-ball fingering work.
It is not sized for a full blanket or for jumbo bulky skeins — if that's your project, this isn't your bag, and we'd rather say so here than have it arrive wrong.
The eyelet rims are smooth and rounded with no cut edge, so the strand slides through the same way it slides over a needle.
Knitters using mohair, single-ply and hand-dyed yarn report clean feeding with no shredding.
Yes.
It has a flat base and padded quilted sides, so it stands on its own on a floor or a sofa cushion rather than folding over and spilling.
The pockets are open-topped and sit against the padded side panel, so needles rest inside rather than pressing through the outer fabric.
Longer straights sit tip-down and stay put.
