The plate is finished, the food is good, and it still looks like leftovers. One carrot, one turn, and the plate looks like someone plated it on purpose — before anyone picks up a fork.
Real kitchens, supermarket carrots, plates people took a picture of before eating.
Alejandra D.Verified“Been putting one in my son's lunchbox a couple times a week. He's nine. Fits in the drawerSmall enough it doesn't take up space. That matters to me, I don't have room for another bulky thing.

Cleaning is a rinseRinse it and brush the blade, that's it. I don't put it in the dishwasher. Takes ten seconds.

On a hummus platterThree roses on top of a hummus platter and it looked like something from a restaurant. People asked before they ate. Took me maybe three minutes total for all three.

Simple tool, does one thingNo setup, no instructions needed really. Turn the handle, roll it up. Used it the same night it arrived.

For sushi platesI make sushi at home on weekends and this fills out the plate nicely. Used to just do a lemon wedge. Big visual difference for very little effort.
Carlos R.Verified08/04/2026
Kids ate the carrotsThis is the whole reason I bought it honestly. My daughter will not touch a cooked carrot. Put a rose on her plate and she ate it because it looked like something. Not a permanent fix probably but I'll take it.
Fernando B.Verified08/03/2026
Good price for what it isCompared to some of the other stuff I looked at this seemed fair. It's a hand tool with one moving part, nothing to break.
Tyrone B.Verified08/02/2026
Works right out of the boxNo assembly, nothing to figure out. Clipped a carrot in and that was it.
DeShawn M.Verified08/01/2026
Worked first tryThought I'd need practice. Nope. Second carrot looked good enough to serve.

Second one for my other kitchenOrdered a second one to keep at my mom's place since I cook there on weekends. Didn't want to keep carrying it back and forth.

I've saved plating photos for six yearsI have a whole board of them. Never made a single one because they all look like they need trained hands. This is the first thing that closed that gap for me. Took two carrots to figure out. I'm not naturally good at this stuff at all.
Kate N.Verified07/28/2026
my carrots are never the perfect ones in videosmy carrots are never the perfect ones in videos so I figured this would be a disaster. first one came out short because I grabbed a skinny carrot. second one was fine. now I just pick the fattest one in the bag and it's consistent

Didn't think I'd use it that oftenDidn't think I'd use it that often, been maybe two or three times a week. Rice bowls mostly. Makes a plain bowl look intentional.

I did try the knife thing onceYears ago I watched a video and tried carving one with a paring knife. It was uneven, it took twenty minutes, and I nicked my thumb. Never tried again. This does it in under a minute and my fingers are nowhere near the blade the entire time. That difference alone was worth the money.
Sofía R.Verified07/25/2026
My abuela would have loved thisShe used to do this kind of thing with a knife and it took her forever. I tried once with a paring knife years ago and gave up after five minutes of uneven mess. This does it without any of the skill part. Made a plate of them for a family lunch and got a lot of questions.

Arrived quicker than expectedShipped fast, got it in three days. Made a couple that night for dinner and they came out clean.

Guests asked where I got the carrotsMade two of these for a plate of chicken and rice on a Tuesday. Nothing special, just dinner. My husband asked where the carrots came from and I said the fridge. He didn't believe me for a second. It takes about a minute once you've done it twice.

I already had a spiralizer but this is not the same t...I already had a spiralizer but this is not the same thing at all. The spiralizer makes noodles that fall apart. This pulls one long strip that actually holds when you wind it. Wish I'd understood the difference before I bought the first one.
Grace J.Verified07/18/2026
Ordered another for my momBought one, then got a second for my mother who cooks constantly and never garnishes anything. She called me about it. She's 71 and figured it out immediately which tells you how simple it is.
Tamika S.Verified07/16/2026
Held up overnight in the fridgeI was worried they'd unravel if I made them ahead. Made six the night before a dinner party, kept them covered on a plate in the fridge, and they were still tight the next evening. That was the part I actually cared about, everything else is a bonus.
Aisha O.Verified07/15/2026
On my feet all day so I don't want a projectI'm on my feet all day at work so by the time I'm cooking I want things fast. This is genuinely under a minute once you know what you're doing. That's why it stuck for me and the fancier stuff I've bought didn't.
Holly J.Verified07/13/2026
The angle is already set which is the whole pointI think what I didn't understand from the video is that you're not doing the hard part. The blade is at a fixed angle so it just takes one long strip. You wind it up with two fingers and that's genuinely the entire skill. My first one was slightly loose at the base but the second was fine and every one since.
Nate H.Verified07/12/2026
Packaging was pretty basicCame in plain packaging, no instructions really. Not a problem since it's obvious how it works but if you were giving it as a gift you'd want to wrap it yourself.
Priya S.Verified07/11/2026
Smaller than I picturedIt's a bit smaller than it looks in the photos, which threw me for a second. Doesn't actually matter though, it does the job and takes up almost no drawer space. I take it to potlucks now.
Jennifer M.Verified07/09/2026
I was worried it would be another drawer gadgetI was worried it would be another drawer gadget I use twice and forget. It's been on my counter for a month now which says something. I use it for weeknight dinners not just when people come over, which I didn't expect. Something about it being fast enough that it's not a whole project.
Erin K.Verified07/06/2026
My friend noticed it before the foodSet the plate down and she looked at it before touching anything. That's a small thing but it's kinda exactly what I wanted.

I'm 52 and I've never once been good at making food l...I'm 52 and I've never once been good at making food look nice. Cooking yes, presentation no. My daughter has always been the one who plates things and I just put it on the plate and call it dinner. This is the first kitchen thing I've bought that made an actual difference in that. Made four roses for Sunday dinner and my son in law took a picture of the plate. Nobody has ever photographed my food.
Lisa D.Verified06/29/2026
Assumed it was a gimmickI assumed it was just another gimmick honestly. Ordered it because it was cheap enough that I wouldn't care if it was junk. It's not junk. The strip comes off in one piece which is the whole thing, and it holds when you roll it. I've made maybe thirty of them now.
Yolanda H.Verified06/25/2026
I usually don't buy things like thisI usually don't buy things like this because I've got a drawer full of gadgets from the last twenty years that I never touch. Egg slicer, avocado tool, all of it. My neighbor had one of these and made a rose while I was standing in her kitchen and that's what got me. Seeing it happen in a real kitchen and not in a video. It's been about two months and I still use it.
Wei L.Verified06/21/2026
Wish there was a size optionWorks fine on regular carrots. I sometimes buy the big ones from the farmers market and those don't fit as well, have to trim them down first. Small annoyance, not a real problem.
Marianne T.Verified06/18/2026
Bought a second one for my sisterOrdered one, used it for about three weeks, then ordered another for my sister's birthday. She's the one who's always been better in the kitchen than me so it was a little satisfying to be the one showing her something. She uses it on cucumber too apparently, I hadn't tried that.
Charlotte F.Verified06/15/2026
The rose stays closed which I doubtedMy main doubt was that it would look great on the cutting board and then unravel on the way to the table. It doesn't. The strip wraps around itself and grips at the base. I've carried a plate across a room with four of them on it and they were all still tight when I set it down.
Ann M.Verified06/12/2026
Good, wish it came in another colorWorks exactly as shown. Only thing is I wish it came in something other than the one color. Minor thing.
Deb R.Verified06/08/2026
Color is slightly different than the photosThe color came a little different from what showed on my screen, slightly more grey than I expected. Doesn't affect anything obviously, just noting it. Works well.
Pam H.Verified06/05/2026
Works but not for everythingIt does what it says with carrots, that part is fine. I was hoping to use it on a wider range of vegetables and most of what I tried didn't hold together the same way. Zucchini was too soft, beetroot stained the tool a bit. So it's a carrot tool really. If that's what you want it's good, I just expected more range for the price.
Verlane & CoThank you for the honest note — that's a fair point. Carrots and firmer root vegetables are where it performs best, and we should be clearer about that. Beetroot staining does happen; a rinse right after use helps a lot. We appreciate you taking the time.

Fine, does the jobNo complaints. Bought it for my wife and she likes it.
Todd A.Verified05/22/2026
Took a bit longer to arrive than expectedOrdered during a sale so shipping ran a little slow, took about a week and a half. Product itself is fine, no complaints there. Wife uses it more than I do.
Walt N.Verified05/18/2026
Not sure what happened hereFollowed what the video showed but the strip kept coming off in short pieces instead of one long one. Tried maybe six carrots. My wife says I was pushing too hard on the handle but I don't see how that would matter. Ended up with a bowl of carrot shavings. Maybe I got a bad one, I don't know.
Verlane & CoWe're sorry this hasn't worked out so far — short pieces usually mean the carrot is snapping partway through, which happens with carrots that have dried out in the fridge or when there's extra downward pressure on the handle. Please email our support team and we'll walk you through it or replace the unit, whichever you'd prefer. We'd like to get this sorted for you.
Questions, answered
Yes, because the part that requires skill isn't yours to do.
The blade holds one fixed angle and pulls the ribbon; you roll it up with two fingers.
Most people get a rose they'd serve on the first or second carrot.
A standard whole supermarket carrot is what it's built for.
Thicker gives you a longer ribbon and a fuller rose, so pick the fattest one in the bag.
A very thin or bendy carrot still works, it just makes a smaller rose — and a carrot already snapped in the fridge drawer won't give you enough length to roll.
The body is food-grade PP and the cutting edge is steel, not plastic.
It's a hand tool with one moving part, so there's nothing in it to burn out.
Rinse it and brush the blade after use and keep it out of the dishwasher's top-heat cycle.
It does.
The ribbon wraps around itself and grips at the base, so it stays closed on a plate, on a platter, or beside rice.
